Why color should be the design trend of the season:

In this age, we design in pastels, millennial pink, and sans serif fonts. I think it’s time we live more boldly.

I know this is a bold statement to make, especially as a young designer and relatively new voice. But the future of design is bold color. Here’s why:

Look at the year we just went through as an entire planet. Our survival, our strength, and our humanity should be represented more vividly. We should be using reds, and greens, and purples, and Cyans, and yellows when we design.

Let’s stop using color to play it cool. Our art and our design is an extension of our emotions. Even under corporate constraints, that navy could pair well with a speck of yellow here and there.

I think we should live life a little more loudly. I think one of the best ways to celebrate joy, and gratitude, and to bring warmth into your environment is to add more color.

I think the design trend of this season is Bold, Vivid, and Full of color.
